ABOUT TAPAM & CHYEF
The Awaken Pan-African Movement (TAPAM) is the ideological and leadership movement, while the Cultural Heritage and Youth Empowerment Foundation (CHYEF) is its registered humanitarian and implementation arm. TAPAM provides the vision, ideology, and strategic direction. CHYEF executes community-based programs in cultural preservation, youth empowerment, and humanitarian support. They operate as integrated partners under one unified framework, ensuring that ideas lead to action and action reinforces ideology.
CHYEF is a registered non-governmental organization under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
Antai Bazi is our foundational philosophy that means “a developed mind is a developed land.” This principle recognizes that Africa’s underdevelopment is deeply linked to historical mental colonization, loss of cultural confidence, and ideological dependency. We therefore prioritize mental liberation, education, and ideological clarity as the foundation for economic growth, political stability, and social progress.
Ubuntu is an African philosophy that affirms “I am because we are.” It recognizes the interdependence of individuals, communities, nations, and generations. Ubuntu guides our leadership culture, community engagement, humanitarian response, and governance practices by promoting:
Human dignity and mutual respect
Social justice and inclusion
Collective prosperity over individual accumulation
Peaceful coexistence and dialogue
Responsibility to present and future generations
No. TAPAM is a consciousness-driven, development-oriented movement focused on ideological awakening, ethical leadership, and humanitarian action. We operate lawfully and peacefully, and do not engage in partisan politics, violence, or activism that contravenes our principles of dialogue, inclusion, and institutional development. Our approach is to build, not to oppose; to unite, not to divide.
